Q&A: So is the purpose Naruto is so intent on bringing Sasuke back since of his promise to Sakura?
Query by Volorius: So is the reason Naruto is so intent on bringing Sasuke back due to the fact of his promise to Sakura?
Yeah, this query is for individuals who’ve go through the most latest chapter, chapter 458. If you have not here’s the hyperlink: http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/458/
What Sai mentioned to Sakura made me go, “ooooh”, but in a unhappy way. I’ve usually been a supporter of the bond among Sasuke and Naruto, not in a slashy way necessaily, but in a friendship/brotherly way.
As of late though when discussing Naruto with my pal, I preserve asking, “why the hell is Naruto Even now so devoted to and obsessed with bringing Sasuke back?? He causes Naruto nothing but pain.”
Everyone’s solution is often just, “due to the fact he loves Sasuke so much. He’s his only good friend.”
But now Sai has produced me really feel really stupid for being so blind, and disappointed at the potential true purpose. Simply because Naruto promised Sakura (the girl he loves) that he would bring Sasuke back to Konoha no matter what. That’s why he’s so obsessed with it and hasn’t provided up. All for Sakura.
Does this seem proper to you guys? I have practically nothing against NaruSaku simply because I often believed that’s how it would finish up and I like Sakura, but I’ve also been genuinely into the Naruto/Sasuke 1-sided bond and fascinated by Naruto’s devotion to Sasuke. It was like he was in really like with Sasuke or a thing. Why else would he go by way of so considerably…The solution…Due to the fact the girl he loves asked him to.
Naruto’s actions Have been adore-driven, but not out of love for Sasuke, but out of adore for Sakura.
I am not saying that Naruto doesn’t care about Sasuke, he’s talked about the bond they have a lot of times, but I feel the reason he in no way gave up despite Sasuke clearly getting above Naruto and Konoha was for Sakura.
I hate to feel this, but it can make sense to me. Sai may possibly have hit that one particular on the nail sadly.
Why do I now have the feeling that Naruto is going to finish up killing Sasuke in the end? With Sakura’s blessing of program, simply because Sasuke is causing so significantly death and destruction it would be all Naruto and Sakura could do.
Sasuke is the accurate villain of Naruto. : (
Thoughts??
Sorry for ranting.

When naruto makes a guarantee to someone, he always maintain his words. When he promise to bring sasuke back he never did, not only that to but sasuka grew to become far more than a buddy to naruto, so thats why he would like to bring sasuke back. What sai is attempting to demonstrate naruto is how could he defend an individual when he causeing a lot more pain to naruto and sakura. Sasuke is just a plain jerk, like he had usually been when he was a youngster.

I think that Naruto cares deeply for Sasuke. Naruto swore he would bring Sasuke back. He was his friend. He even said that to Jiraiya.
But I don’t think it’s just for Sakura. Maybe partly, but not fully.

I kind of viewed that chapter as love, but in a brother/sister way. Sure,
Naruto had a crush onSakura when they were younger, but he’s matured now, and I think he’s grown out of that.
This could just be my anti-Narusaku side speaking, but I strongly believe that Naruto still truly cares about Sasuke, enough to bring him back on his own, not because he made a promise. The reason Naruto was so attachted to Sasuke was because Sasuke was the first to acknowledge him as a person, instead of a demon. Before Sasuke and Naruto’s friendship, Sakura never cared for Naruto. This changed when Sasuke told her off when she insulted Naruto (when Naruto transformed into Sasuke and almost kissed her).
And still, Sasuke continues to acknowledge him. He doesn’t underestimate Naruto, because deep down, he knows Naruto is stronger than him. And the same goes for Naruto. If you notice, whenever Naruto is training, he’s thinking of Sasuke, of becoming stronger than Sasuke, of bringing Sasuke back to Konoha. During these times, he never really thinks about the promise to Sakura, just his own desire to save his friend.
And I don’t know if this counts because it wasn’t in the manga, but the movie Bonds really shows that Sasuke still cares for Naruto, especially at the end, he stood there, watching to see if Naruto was safe (AND there was a SMILE! Small as it was, it was there! xD)
Oh, and there was that one page in the manga plugging Bonds, where Naruto and Sasuke were shown wearing necklaces of each other.
So, I think if there was an entire movie made that revolved around the bond between Sasuke and Naruto, than it’s a safe bet that they still care about each other, promise or no promise.
Yes, I rant also. ^.^’
Okay, I’ll stop now.

His promise to Sakura is one of the reasons that he’s still trying to get Sasuke back. Naruto also treasures the friendship between him and Sasuke–that’s why he wants to get Sasuke back with all his ability, their friendship and bond are important to Naruto.
Naruto knows Sakura ‘loves’ Sasuke, so that’s one of the reason he wants to bring him back–an attempt to make the girl he loves happy.
So yeah—Sakura isn’t the sole reason why Naruto is still going after Sasuke, but it probably takes up 70%.
Yay for NaruSaku~

Yes, but when Sai told Sakura all this, Sai said Naruto loved Sakura not that he was IN love with her.
ALSO Sai said that Sasuke caused Naruto alot of pain. BUT that Sakura does as well.
They both cause Naruto pain. And Naruto has never said he prefers Sakura over Sasuke. In fact they’ve never been compared.
EVER.
And the one person Naruto wanted acknowledgment out of the most was Sasuke.
SASUKE.
And when Sakura has that flash back about the younger Naruto – how the hell do we know that the pain Naruto felt before he left wasn’t because of Sasuke and NOT Sakura?
i mean the whole freaken’ show focuses on Sasuke and Naruto. Sakura is just there to annoy people.
If you go back and place either Sakura or SASUKE in the places where Naruto is sad or he’s thinking about someone or whatever, Sakura and SASUKE could both fill that space.
It makes sense for either of them.
It’s like having a jigsaw puzzle with only one piece missing. Sasuke or Sakura could both be that piece.
It’s hasn’t been clarified if Naruto is IN LOVE with Sakura. So he loves her. Big fuc.king deal. Naruto loves everyone.
SERIOUSLY.
And Naruto was already hell bent on bringing Sasuke back before Sakura got all whinny and begged Naruto to do it. And when Naruto is asked why he goes so far for Sasuke he gives every reason besides ‘Cuz Sakura told me too.’
Oh, and let me tell you one more thing the auther of Naruto -who knows what his name is- said he’d be ending the series hinting at Sasuke and Naruto.
Together.
And Sakura? Well, with all honestly..
Who gives a fuc.k? I know I don’t.

I actually never thought about it that way. I was like you, my friends were always telling me that it was because Sasuke was Naruto’s first bond. I know Naruto prides himself for always keeping his promises but I think maybe if it wasn’t to Sakura then it would different, when Sai said
‘Naruto’s been shouldering that promise for a long time, I think he means to shoulder it for the rest of his life’ it made me think that Naruto could be doing this for friendship or love. I don’t know honestly, maybe because I’m slightly a more NaruSaku fan, who knows.

okaaaaayyyy…this is gonna be a long explanation. Here it goes…
First Naruto has been longing to have somebody to connect with. He was so desperate to have a relationship with someone. Even if the first to acknowledged him was Iruka, he has felt that first connection most with Sasuke. Both doesn’t want to admit it, but they have the strongest bond of all. Hence the reason why Sasuke wants to kill Naruto during their fight at the Valley of End. Remember the requirement for achieving mangekyou? Kill your most beloved friend. Sasuke just didn’t finish what he has started even if he could have killed Naruto after Naruto passed out was because he doesn’t want to give Itachi the satisfaction of knowing that he did exactly what Itachi expects him to do. Or so he says.
On Naruto’s part, well, he himself admitted several times that Sasuke is like a brother to him. One the he never had. Sasuke was the very first person that he connected with and made a bond with. And if you think about it they do act like rival brothers. They fight a lot and compete with each other but you can see their deep acknowlegdement of each others strenght and ability. There’s respect, hence the reason why they both want to fight each other seriously. They acknowledge each other’s power. It sounds kinda out there but you have to keep in mind their background and what they do. They’re both ninjas.
Also another reason is Naruto never backs down on his words. If he says or promises something he’ll keep it no matter what. Yes, one reason is because Sakura asked him to bring Sasuke back and he promised her that he will. But I think that even if Sakura didn’t ask him he would still try his best (and not give up) to bring his friend back. Remember when Itachi asked him why he is still so determined in chasing after Sasuke and bringing him back to KOnoha? His answer was “Because I’m a better brother than you.”
Your friends were right. It’s because he loves Sasuke. But it’s a brotherly love. No more, no less. And I don’t think that he’ll kill Sasuke. Remember when he said “I can’t be a Hokage if I can’t even save one friend.”? Or something like. He would even give up his dream of being a Hokage for Sasuke. Well, anyway that dream was formed for the purpose of acknowledgement and he already has that acknowledgement from the whole village that he always wanted. He just wants to feel that he matters and that he’s strong enough to be called somebody in the shinobi world. And Sasuke, by letting him know that he wanted to fight him as well, gave him that feeling.
I could go on and on and on about this but then I would end up with a novel. Anyway, hope this helps.

It is partly because Naruto always keeps his promises but it’s also due to the fact that Sasuke was the first person to acknowledge him as a rival

well, i think it was partially because of sakura, and he can’t co back on his word. thats his way of the ninja. but also because sasuke was the first person he could call a friend, and he was almost like a brother i think. and naruto wants to save sasuke from the cycle of ‘revenge’ hes in. and wants to bring him back to konoha. where he can forget about revenge and be happy. so i think its not only for sakuras sake, but for sasukes as well :3

Sasuke was a friend Naruto could completely relate to. Because of that, his feelings for him are very strong. His promise and feelings towards Sakura just drives it and encourages him to bring back Sasuke.

No! Probably not. Sasuke is Naruto best bud he ever have/had. They are somehow related since from young, they don’t have any family. Naruto knows how Sasuke feels and MAYBE the other way round too. He is intent to bring Sasuke back cause he wanna do the same thing he did Sasuke when he was back in Konoha. He loves him, of course at a brotherly way, and that’s the reason why he wants to bring back Sasuke. On the other hand, about the promise he made to Sakura is one of the few reasons too. He never go back on his words whenever he had promised someone, especially Sakura since he truly LOVES her. Just like the person above me said, with the promise he made for Sakura also encouraged him more and more to bring back Sasuke. So the answer is for your question is, it isn’t just because the promise he made to Sakura, it’s because Sasuke is the only the most closest brother he only has too.

naruto’s so intent on bringing sauke back because according to him, sasuke and sakura are the only family he has and sasuke is like a brother to him… also because of the promise
