The discomfort begins about the belly button and, soon after time, will radiate over to your lower right side. You will be in excruciating discomfort and you will be nuaseous and will probsbly be vomitting. If you think you are having a dilemma with your appendix, you need to have to have it checked out. You never want it to burst since that could be daily life threatening.

I’m not a doctor, but I did find this information online:

The most common signs and symptoms of appendicitis are abdominal pain, tenderness, vomiting and fever. The pain may be around the navel (belly button) but soon moves to the lower right portion of the abdomen. The most painful area is located halfway between the hip bone and the navel, but may vary. The child may be bent over with the pain and may prefer lying down on the left side with the knees drawn up to the chest. Vomiting, and refusal to eat may be other signs of appendicitis. Diarrhea may be present.

I am not a doctor but I can tell you the signs and symptoms of Appendicitis (you were almost right).
Fever, pain to the right lower quadrant of your abdomen, nausea /and or vomiting, diarrhea.
If you are having a lot of pain don’t wait to go to the ER. Because it could burst making matters a lot worse.

appendicitis is a medical emergency. do not spend time online wondering if you have it, go to the ER NOW and get it diagnosed by a medical professional.

If you think you have appendicitis–get off the computer and proceed to the ER or your Dr.
Appendicitis is not something you can sit back on and think it will go away
Appendicitis is an inflammation of the appendix, a part of your intestines. It get swollen , causing pain and proceeds to rupturing causing a myriad of complications and even death. Most commonly it starts w/pain in the lower abdomen, around the umbilicus and proceeding to the lower right side of the abdomen –called Mc Burney’s point. There is localised pain here even when the area is palpated. Other symptoms include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, low grade fever, unable to walk due to pain, crunched up posture more soothing, a worsening of pain over few hours. Once the appendix ruptures there may be a temporary lessening of pain until peritonitis sets in. This is why if you think it will go away it may actually becoming worse. There are some variations to the classic appendicitis prsentation , but a chronic recurrent, coming and going type of abdominal pain due to appendicitis is rare. Usually within 36 hrs of onset of pain the appendix will probably rupture. Some studies say even maybe less time.

When you say “side pain” and “lately” its hard to say where the location is and it seems like it been going on for awhile. Medical advice is very hard to give in these situations b/c you never know if it may be serious or benign. The best thing is to get a Dr to examine you and also see if there are other things going on—-so my advice as a physician is see your Dr ASAP. Don’t fool around w/ stuff like that and better to hear that it was nothing than to hear that this should have been checked out earlier. I hope this helped and you get checked out.
