How do you relieve lower back pain?

^..^ALUKAH^..^ asked:

I have been having extreme lower back pain lately.
I use a futon and a lower-back support chair.
I don’t have insurance, so a doctor or chiropracter is out of the question.

Get one of those exercise balls. They really help to stretch the back. I’ve been going to a chiropractor myself and he recommended me to do so.

I’ve had alot of back pain for years as I used to carry heavy carpets around that compressed my poor old back! I found out if I took some analgesics right before I hopped into the shower and then directed as ‘ hot as I could stand water at the sore part of my back it helped to relieve the pain, try it.
