Answer by pelican
Yes, you should tell the doctor. She can help you get started on a weight loss plan, which could be causing the pain.

Query by Da Austrian Oak: For the Marine Corps, my records had been erased right after 3 years. Do you consider they are erased for this other thing?

When I was 17, I attempted to get into the Marine Corps and was informed at MEPS immediately after seeing a civilian psychologist that I apparently failed one query about marijuana-usage, that I could come back in 6 months and get in. As an alternative, I went to college.

Now I am 29 and I went to the Army National Guard last year (2008) and pointed out I was now on medicine for anxiety and a mood disorder. I got a waiver for that from the Army medical doctors. When I had to fill out a type and check something that applied to me and I checked “herniated disc” (in my back), it took a quite long time to hear back and then I got the official “no” for a waiver from the Army physicians. I never even produced it to MEPS. Do you consider my data is erased now…because I want to take a stab at the Marines due to the fact I’ve been performing back workouts and have not had any pain since?

Finest answer:

Solution by jasonsalcido1
You ought to most likely get the official supply to anwer this. i do consider they retain individuals records on your herniated disc and it will show up. Why would you want to join the Marines at 29 anyway though? I say use that university degree and make modifications to your existence to make it the way you want.

Question by sasmallworld: spine/disc query?

i was in an accident (vehicle rear ended me from behind)..i had to go to the chiro for 3 months, and then had to go back for an additional two weeks when i started finding pain again. apparently the other party’s insurance does not really feel the 2nd session is connected due to the fact the chiro report mentioned the “c2 disc” was treated the 1st time, and “c5 disc” or a thing like that was treated in the 2nd time. is it attainable for 2 distinct discs to be aggravated at a later time? simply because the 1st 3 months was for my neck/shoulder discomfort, and the two weeks had been far more for my muscle tension in shoulder.

can a person inform me on Anything at all pertaining the discs?

thank you

Finest answer:

Solution by hisnamesaves
The discs are the invertebral discs which act, amongst other items, as a shock absorber for your vertebrae, the bone components of your spine. You have 7 cervical vertebrae (C1-C7) with a disc in between each and every. The disc itself is at times described as staying like a tube of toothpaste, with a tough but flexible outer layer and a jelly like inner core. There are various degrees of disc injury (protrusion, herniation, extrusion) which deal with the inside trying to push out of the outer layer due to excessive stress (like whiplash).

What you are describing sounds like muscular injury. If you are not finding satisfactory result from the chiropractor, you may possibly want to see your physician and get a referral to Physical Therapy, which focuses more on the muscular facet of injuries.

Query by Roland: Knee pain when lifting leg or going down stairs right after operating?

I trained for a marathon this year and everything went nicely during training. I even did a 22 mile run on my personal. Right after that I began minimizing distance and then resting mostly for the last week. The day of the marathon at about mile 7 my right knee started out hurting and it just went on progressively to the point exactly where I could barely bend my knee. Putting weight was no problem but lifting my leg, bending the knee or going down steps brought on sturdy pain. It felt as if I had a knot towards the outside of my knee but still in the inner side (if that makes sense).

I took a three week rest period and went for a run final evening. After the first mile the signs started to come back. I am scheduling an appointment with a DR. but would like to hear if this is a prevalent injury and if it has a name.

Here’s yet another symptom taken from one more person’s post in the internet. It describes effectively portion of my symptoms:

“It feels like a muscle or a tendon that is connecting or holding my upper leg with the bottom is strained. Therefore when my leg is suspended in the air without having any support the outdoors of my knee hurts and forces me to stiffen my entire leg, lock my knee in order to feel no pain.”

Thank you for your assist!
I went to a orthopedist and was diagnosed with ITBS Ilotibial Band Syndrome. One thing that apparently is only witnessed in runners.

It would seem this is not a serious injury and will go overtime if you stretch regularly and maybe get some therapy massages.

Here’s a video with some very good stretches for the IT Band (http://www.youtube.com/view?v=_c55IYpoGZQ)

An additional video about massaging that muscle can be observed right here: http://www.youtube.com/view?v=_c55IYpoGZQ
Update: I just went for a four mile run soon after investing about 30 min stretching my IT Band making use of equivalent stretches to the ones shown in the video hyperlink over. I then massage my IT Band as shown in the other video over.

I started out slow but then went rather rapidly compared to my last run (about two min less per mile avg) and every little thing went fantastic! At some point felt one thing really slightly so I quickly stopped and stretched the IT Band once again, then continued. No pain at all for the duration of this run.

I hope this aids an individual else with the very same symptoms.

Answer by Mubeen
It looks sciatica. There are numerous causes of sciatica like pelvic injury, fracture, tumors or piriformis syndrome. Every cause has distinct therapy program.
I had the sciatica due to piriformis syndrome. Its a body disorder, not condition. You can remove pains by stretching your muscle. These iPhone app hyperlink assisted me to take away sciatica.
Right here you can have a visual tour of complete sciatic nerve. Mark the discomfort region & get a set of rehab exercise routines in 3D format. There is also readily available total health-related background & notes.

Okay I want help! About 2 months ago I fell on the ice straight on my butt. I hit so difficult I thought I broke something. About 1 month later I began experiencing left side lower back pain, hip pain and hip flexor pain that is consistent. I’ve been taking Naproxen as prescribed, and going to a physical therapist. He’s diagnosed me so far with sacrialiliacitis but can’t tell me whether my back pain is leading to my hip discomfort which is creating my “sacrialiliac discomfort”. I’ve had 1 x-ray which exhibits practically nothing. Oh yeah and I’m obtaining sporactic numbness and tingling, which I told him about but since it’s 1 sided he does not consider it’s a herniated disk. I’m becoming very discouraged!! I am in contant pain creating me to “gimp” without having any relief nevertheless. Can any person out there help me should I be asking him anything specific to seem at?? Anything at all!!

Answer by Binibini
my husband has the really same thing on his left leg, and hi pain he’s getting numbness in his left leg and tingling. we believe it is a SCIATICA. Right now we are trying chiropractic and we’ll see what occurs. the chiropractor explained we do the treatment for 6 months to a year if nothing adjustments we are planning to have an MRI and see a neurologist.

do not rush any surgical procedure explore every thing initial ahead of you contemplate surgical procedure.

Ive always had pain and loose joints, but last feb. I got into a vehicle accident. I live with this horrible pain in my shoulder and back every single day of my lifestyle. I have witnessed three ortho medical doctors and they are to scared to operate because my situation is as well complicated with all my joints getting loose on leading of the tear in the rotator cuff. I did not take any medicine for it for4 months or so…but soon after that 4 months….I just couldn’t deal anymore. Then I lost my well being insurance coverage. Had to find a new ortho surgeon that I go see tomorrow. In which her office told me “She wasnt going to prescribe medication for chronic pain” What do I say to this physician, explaining her the discomfort im in. I imply to th point wherever washing my hair…shaving my legs is just difficult. I do not know how lengthy I can do this anymore. Oh yes he did. This was a real pain in the ass to make. Nothing fit together, and I spent a lot of time cutting and sawing, and then glue everything back together. Filled most my day, one day of upper back pain and headaches and blisters. But it eventually fell into a pile of camera goodness. I still have some leaks I have not figured out how to seal and I have to work out how to attach the diopter, as well. I have not even the film to try it out anyway! So more to come, and a blog post eventually, of course. But I felt like showing it off!
