Abrupt “pain” in the abdomen 15 weeks pregnant?

Query by SamIam82: Abrupt “pain” in the abdomen 15 weeks pregnant?

For the past couple of weeks, I have been experiencing what feels like a pinching or abrupt soreness in the center of my stomach, below the bellybutton, correct in which my uterous should be. It takes place at all instances of the day and night and lasts a couple of seconds. Its not terribly poor, but adequate to discover. I have no bleeding or other signs. Can round ligament ache occur in the front or only on the sides? Has anybody else seasoned this?

It could very well be gas pains. I had these with my daughters. Some were so severe it brought me to my knees a couple of times. Yikes! Once I almost called my husband because I thought I may be in preterm labor. If it really concerns you, talk to your doctor.

HA HA I wrote the EXACT same question last night. If you are moving, then it’s round ligament pain. If you are not moving like I am not when it happens, then honestly I am not sure. I am also 15 weeks. But I just had a doctors appointment and everything was fine. I’m calling my OB on Monday just to be sure. Maybe to put your mind at ease, you should do the same.

As long as the pain isn’t too bad and it subsides it’s likely normal. You will get all kinds of aches and pains, it is likely ligament pain though.

Ligament pain usually feels like a pulled muscle and can happen just about anywhere.

It doesnt sound seriouse to me but i would contact your doc and just explain what you are feeling just so you know everything is ok and just so he is aware of the changes.

It sounds to me like it is just your uterus pushing up further towards your belly button, like little pains from everything stretching and moving to accomidate your growing baby but because i never experienced anything like that i would just talk to your doc to just to be sure. And yes round ligiment pain can occur at the frount as well as the sides! Congrats!
